And WE Crashed!

This new story creates a new world in your mind! You will live through Gerardo’s latest mission, which was an aircraft deal with Russia, but Gerardo’s on plane crashed, and now he is on a new mission, a mission to survive!
And WE Crashed!
By: Samrat choudhury
The violent turbulence had just woken Gerardo up. The air hostess politely said “I apologize for the turbulence sir, but I need you to put on your seat belt.”
“Of course.” replied Gerardo with no fear.
Gerardo quickly glanced around his surroundings and made a mental note that everyone was terrified, some were tense, others were clenching on to the handlebars, and one lady was actually crying. Gerardo wondered what everyone was worried about; it was only a little bit of turbulence.
Gerardo continued to play ‘Angry Birds’ on his iPad.
“Passengers, this is your captain speaking, I am sorry to announce that we will be making an emergency landing, the thunder storm and haze has limited our visibility and the emergency fog lights are inoperable. We assure you that you have nothing to worry about and thanks for choosing United …..”
The plane spun around 360 degrees and the overhead compartments flew open, smashing people with hand bags and luggage. Gerardo calmly put his iPad in its cover, he closed his eyes as he braced for impact and thought of only Latina. Bang! His head had hit the front seat, he took off what was left of his belt and glared awe struck at this disaster, his iPad had shattered!
“I thought these were shatterproof!” remarked Gerardo. Then he took a peek and saw his surroundings.
It was almost pitched black except for a small fire near the back of the plane, Gerardo was sure that he could smell blood.
“Anybody there?” shouted Gerardo
“Yes” shouted a girl who was apparently right behind Gerardo.
Gerardo grabbed her by the hand and they both rummaged whatever they could find and put it into a briefcase that was empty. The girl then saw the fire swarming in their direction and pushed Gerardo out of the plane. She ran out herself with the suitcase and fell into a puddle; Gerardo helped her up and then was relieved to see that there were more survivors, five in total to be exact.
The survivors all carried five bags with them to a tree that had branches large enough to let them stay dry. Gerardo then threw his bag under the trunk of the tree and went to sleep immediately.

Dmitri let out a sinister laugh as he held Latina in one hand and had a gun pointed at her head.
“Stop this” said Gerardo “Don’t get Latina involved in this, can’t we talk this through”
“Your words have no influence on me General Gerardo, the only way for you to save Latina is to give up the plan for the commissioner of Mexican high command” barked Dmitri.
“Never in my life” said Gerardo with a stern voice!
“Well then it is too late” remarked Dmitri; he pulled the trigger and bang.
“NOOOOOOOOOO” yelled Gerardo.
*****
Gerardo had awoken startled and frightened, both by the dream and the lightning.
“Whew, it was just a dream” exhaled Gerardo.
“Oh you’re awake, that’s good, and by the way I’m Scarlett” said the girl who he had seen in the wreckage.
“Umm, ya, and I am Gerardo, Gerardo Escobar”
Gerardo then left his make-shift tent and was greeted by the other survivors.
“Hey bro I’m Shaun Byrnes” said a tall 6’2 man.
“I’m Giselle Yeager” said a short girl who looked frightened.
“Hey I’m Sylvia Fox” said another woman.
“We could really use some help, you know being in the middle of nowhere and all with no food” said Shaun.
“All right everyone, we need to make a survival plan” said Gerardo with a smear on his face and great determination.
“Awe man, we just woke up, can’t it wait?” groaned Sylvia.
Gerardo disregarded that statement and began explaining how the group would work.
“We will all work in a buddy system, meaning no one would ever be alone, we will always have this tree as our base and we always have two people at our base armed with the 9mm hand gun for protecting it” said Gerardo.

Within a few hours, the group had effectively figured out their location using the map and GPS, they were situated near the Congo River in Congo.
“This tastes horrible” said Sylvia spitting out her apple.
“You just wasted a precious apple” said Gerardo.
“You know we only have twenty apples in the first place with 5 remaining, we should respect what we have and eat it”
Then Gerardo barged into his tent and went to sleep angered at what had happened.

The sun glinted in Gerardo’s eyes as he awakened. He dragged his swollen feet to the resource gathering point and noted that they were all out of water.
“All our water is finished!” shouted Gerardo.
That got the attention of the group as they scurried to where Gerardo was.
“What happened?” said Shaun.
“All of our water is finished, would anyone mind explaining where the water disappeared to” said Gerardo.
“I used it to wash my clothes” replied Sylvia.
Gerardo was clearly angered, he went on and on about how this could lead to their demise and that Sylvia was unhelpful. He was even about to slap her when Shaun caught his arm.
“Look, we are all tired, frustrated and confused, but that doesn’t mean that we have the right to turn against each other and blame someone for a mistake, we all are confused and must work together for our survival” Shaun firmly stated.
Gerardo realized Shaun’s point; it wasn’t going to get them water, food or any resources. So he reluctantly apologized
Gerardo was about to start the day’s agenda, but then Sylvia stared at his plague ridden legs. She ripped off a piece of cloth from her t-shirt and applied banana peel juice on it, and then she tied it to Gerardo’s legs instantly diminishing the pain.
“Who taught you this?” Gerardo asked.
“Well, I am a doctor, so it only makes sense” said Sylvia.
Gerardo thanked Sylvia and decided to keep the group on task, he was about to go hunting, but the group members insisted it was best to let Shaun, Sylvia, and Scarlett do the hunting while Giselle and Gerardo guard the base.
After hours of vigorous work, the group had gathered water, twenty apples, and built a small hut with Giselle’s expertise in wood work. Gerardo and the others peacefully went to sleep that night in their new sturdy shelter, enjoyed dinner, and for once shared a few laughs.

After a well-rested night, the group had awoken hearing unfortunate news, Scarlett had collapsed while hunting and was now bed-ridden, and Sylvia had confirmed that this was a form of malaria.
“Ok guys, I know we have lost a member, but we must hurry and try our best to save her” Gerardo yawned.
“We have other problems, Undead, Wolves, and a storm” said Giselle running here all the way from hunting grounds.
“What?” said Gerardo in confusion “We need a plan, a plan in which everything will be saved” he said.
“We can’t save everything, but we can defend the base to save our supplies, Scarlett, and the base, but the beacon will be lost” Shaun unsurely said.
“That’s right guys, we can use my newfound gun to fight off the zombies” said Gerardo as he polished his M16A4.
The rest of the day had gone by quickly, and the group’s spine chilling moment of truth was approaching. Gerardo had successfully taken care of the wolves using his air freshener to keep their scent off, and now it was time for the zombies.
Gerardo and Shaun planned to stayed in the front lines holding a club knife, while Sylvia and Giselle stayed behind holding the M16A4 and the 9mm hand gun as the group proclaimed the beginning of the so called ‘battle of Fort Gerardo.’
The group decided to rest until the Zombies arrived, and Gerardo volunteered to stay awake to alert the group.
*****
“The zombies are here, the zombies are here!” bellowed Gerardo.
The startled survivors struggled to get to their feet and grab their weapons.
Gerardo spewed at the sight of these unearthly creatures.
The stench was so mind-rattling that it twisted Gerardo’s insides out, their screams shattered eardrums, the putrid sight of their unexplainably disgusting, filthy and sickening faces reminded Gerardo of Dmitri Makarov.
Then and there Gerardo and Shaun charged at the 100 000 strong horde of Zombies, killing dozens with a strike. Sylvia and Giselle used the guns and decapitated many. The battle raged for the night as the gang grew tired.
“Ouch” grunted Shaun as a rock opened his skull.
“Shaun” shouted Gerardo
There Giselle cried as a Zombie twisted her arm at a three sixty degree angle, tearing limbs and cracking bones.
Gerardo badly injured himself, and had a bloody nose, but he had the courage to get up. With this feat, the others were empowered to continue to fight, so Gerardo carried the bed ridden Scarlett to the beacon while everyone fought there to make their stand.
“Attack!” shouted Shaun.
The group mindlessly charged at the zombies without a plan. Sylvia went to Giselle’s aid and Shaun was left fighting the zombies with Gerardo’s assistance.
“We can’t do this forever” Gerardo said, “You need to take Giselle and Scarlett to safety. I’ll stay here and make my final stand, go on without me!” cried Gerardo with tears in his eyes as memories of Latina engulfed his mind.”
Shaun grimly agreed to his idea and Gerardo charged at the Zombies, killed many hundreds, but grew tired.
“It’s hopeless” cried Gerardo.
“Aaahhh” screamed Gerardo in pain as a zombie pulled his shoulder off.
He then collapsed as another zombie smashed his head with a rock, and revealed sickening wounds. Many zombies lurched towards Gerardo and cut open his body.
“I failed; I’ve failed Latina, my family, and my friends. I am a failure!” he shouted as a Zombie tore his spine into three pieces.
Then suddenly a catalyst of faith appeared the sun. The light disintegrated the zombies as it made contact with their skin.
. “Oh thank you Surya, god of the sun for having pity on our souls.” said Gerardo while coughing blood.
Then Gerardo looked up and glared at his slayer, it was Dmitri Makarov.
Makarov stared at Gerardo with watery eyes and said “I’m sorry, but these are orders from the mafia, the mafia of the United States government.” He then shot Gerardo in several places and left.
“The helicopter is here, we are saved!” said Shaun scurrying to where Gerardo lay. Then he saw Gerardo and said “Gerardo where are your legs? Where is your arm? Gerardo you can’t leave us, I will bring a medic, hold on!”
Gerardo told him “my time in this world is over; I must make my way to Shiva and lay peacefully knowing that I got my job done.”
“NOOOOOOOOOOOO!” screamed Shaun as Gerardo lay in his blood filled arms.
